IBM Cognos BI 10.2 erschienen (Download / FixList / Neue Features)

Nun steht die neue Version 10.2 von IBM Cognos BI zum Download bereit. Es gibt eine lange Liste von behobenen Fehlern und ein paar neue Funktionen. Schnell auffallen wird die Umbenennung einiger Komponenten. Wie war das doch gleich mit den Namen “Cognos Insight”, “Cognos Business Insight”, “Cognos Business Insight Advanced”… so viel Insight, dass man gar nicht wusste welche Komponente nun gemeint ist.

So sieht es nun in der Version 10.2 aus:
– “Business Insight” nennt sich nun “Cognos Workspace”
– “Cognos Insight” ist weiterhin die Cognos Clientvariante aufÂ TM1 Basis

Erwähnenswert ist das “Skin Management Utility”. Hier kann nun das Corporate Design visuell entworfen und in die Cognos Oberfläche eingebunden werden. Damit wird das lästige Stöbern in den verschiedenen XML-Konfigurationsdateien minmiert.

Der Umstieg lohnt sich. Zur Veranschaulichung hier die beachtliche Liste behobener Fehler von der Version 10.1.1 des BI Servers:
